Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your work week continues along, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Tickets, which are sold out, will cost a pretty penny for Florida State’s highly-anticipated opener in Atlanta on Sept. 2 against Alabama, but the concession costs will be reasonable.

The concession prices for the new Mercedes Benz Stadium were released and draft beer will cost just $5. A slice of pizza will cost just $3 and a refillable cup of soda will cost just $2.

The season-opening contest is expected to be a top 5 match-up and will be the first meeting between the schools since 2007 when the Seminoles beat the Crimson Tide 21-14 in Jacksonville in a contest later vacated. That was the first year for Jimbo Fisher as the offensive coordinator at FSU and Nick Saban as the head coach of Alabama.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic contests scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.
