Florida State basketball wasn’t able to win at Wake Forest this past season, but head coach Leonard Hamilton was able to notch a victory in Winston-Salem.

The FSU head coach was named “Big House” Gaines Coach of the Year by the National Sports Media Association at Joel Coliseum this week. Hamilton collected his 500th career win this past season while guiding the Seminoles to their first Elite Eight appearance since 1993.

FSU finished this past season with a record of 23-12. Florida State begins the 2017-18 season on Nov. 6 at home against Florida.
