Hanson, a senior, was given the honor on Monday after compiling a 3.6 cumulative grade-point average while studying public health. Hanson is also among 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. She joins Alex Powers and Kelly Hensley, who won the awards last year and in 2013, respectively, as the only Seminoles to take ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.

First baseman Carsyn Gordon, pitcher Meghan King and utility Cassidy Davis were all named to the All-ACC Academic team. Candidates for the awards must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average for their careers, as well as a 3.0 for each of the last two semesters.
