The Daily Nole — June 21, 2018: Virginia Tech’s Jackson Cleared Academically

Virginia Tech looks as though it will have its starting quarterback in place for the Sept. 3 opener against Florida State, according to reports.

Redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Jackson’s academic status has been resolved, according to the report. It was previously reported that Jackson’s status was in question over an academic issue.

Jackson started all 13 games for the Hokies last season, leading them to a 9-4 record and top-25 finish. Jackson accounted for more than 3,000 total yards last season and 26 total touchdowns.
