Lead Story

One Florida State softball senior is a finalist for an award that combines athletic and academic achievement with community service.

That senior is pitcher Kylee Hanson, who was among 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. The list of finalists was trimmed from a list of 30 that included FSU outfielder Morgan Klaevemann.

A transfer from Florida Atlantic, Hanson is 17-3 with an 0.84 ERA this season for the Seminoles. Previous winners of the Senior CLASS Award from FSU include Lacey Waldrop in 2015 and Alex Powers last year.
