The Daily Nole — Nov. 28, 2017: FSU Opens as Massive Favorite Over Warhawks

It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your day goes by, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. We’ll update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

It’s down to one game for Florida State to become bowl-eligible. Most believe the Seminoles will get the job done, including the oddsmakers.

FSU will open as a 27-point favorite for Saturday’s regular season finale against Louisiana-Monroe. The Warhawks were originally set to open FSU’s home slate on Sept. 9, but the contest was called because of Hurricane Irma.

FSU has won two straight and comes in with a record of 5-6. Louisiana-Monroe is 4-7 on the year.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.

On the Agenda

FSU hoops will visit Rutgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday. The contest begins at 7 p.m. EST and airs on ESPNU.

News and Notes

The ACC is up 2-0 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

FSU tight end Mavin Saunders will transfer.

FSU received seven votes in this week’s men’s basketball Coaches Poll.

FSU defeated Rutgers 78-73 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday night.
