It’s the weekend, Florida State fans and this Saturday is a big one. For the latest in FSU athletics, keep it here as we update the news and notes section throughout the day.

Lead Story

Former Texas Tech wide receiver Jonathan Giles has narrowed his list of potential transfer locations down to three and Florida State remains alive and well. The Seminoles were joined by Oregon and LSU.

Giles finished with 69 catches for 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns last year for the Red Raiders. Earlier in the week, Giles had revealed his top 10 schools with Ohio State, Louisville, Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, Purdue and SMU.

As for Florida State, it returns just five scholarship receivers and could really use Giles’ services. Unfortunately, Giles did not obtain a degree in his two years in Lubbock and would be forced to sit out for one year.
