The Daily Nole — Sept. 27, 2021: FSU Soccer Stays Perfect with 3-0 Win at Louisville

Lead Story

No. 1 Florida State soccer hit the road for the first time this season in ACC play, but the result was the same. The Seminoles stayed perfect on Sunday with a 3-0 victory at Louisville.

For a half, the contest was scoreless before FSU erupted with three goals in less than a 12-minute stretch. Beata Olsson, Jody Brown and Jenna Nighswonger all scored goals in the victory. Nighswoger, Clara Robbins and Amelia Horton each recorded assists.

FSU finished with 10 shots to just three for the Cardinals. With the win, the Seminoles improve to 10-0 and 3-0 in ACC play. They’ll travel to face Clemson on Friday.

Between the Lines

In addition to FSU soccer winning 3-0 at Louisville on Sunday, FSU volleyball lost at Louisville, 3-0. FSU women’s golf kicked off its season with the Schooner Fall Classic. Through two rounds, the Seminoles are in third place.
