The Daily Nole — Sept. 25, 2021: FSU Volleyball Wins ACC Opener at Notre Dame

To say that Florida State volleyball is hot right now might be an understatement. On Friday night, the Seminoles opened ACC play with an impressive 3-1 win at Notre Dame.

FSU took the final two sets to leave with its third straight win and seventh in eight matches. Morgan Chacon led FSU with 13 kills and 23 digs in the victory. Sydney Conley, Emma Clothier and Audrey Koenig added 11, 10 and 10 kills, respectively.

Charley Niego led Notre Dame with 17 kills and 23 digs in the loss. With the win, FSU improves to 8-2 and 1-0 in ACC play. The Seminoles will travel to face Louisville on Sunday.

Between the Lines

FSU’s volleyball match was the lone scheduled athletic event for Friday.

On the Agenda

FSU football will host Louisville on Saturday. The contest begins at 3:30 p.m. ET and airs on ESPN2.

Florida State football tight end Camren McDonald is among 22 student-athletes named to the 2021 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
