The Daily Nole — Dec. 22, 2018: Taylor Confirms Return for 2019

Lead Story

On Friday, Florida State cornerback Levonta Taylor confirmed what was reported last month. Taylor will return for a senior season in 2019.

After an outstanding sophomore campaign in 2017, Taylor was limited by a stress fracture in his back. Taylor missed four games this past season, but started all eight in which he appeared.

Taylor finished his junior season with 19 tackles, one for loss, a forced fumble and an interception that was returned 63 yards for a touchdown to cement a 36-26 win over Samford. Taylor missed the entire month of November.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.

On the Agenda

FSU basketball will take on Saint Louis in the Orange Bowl Classic on Saturday afternoon. The contest begins at 2:30 p.m. EST and airs on Fox Sports 2.

News and Notes

Former Louisville quarterback Jordan Travis is exploring the possibility of transferring to Florida State.

FSU hoops defeated Saint Louis in the Orange Bowl Classic on Saturday, 81-59.
