Lead Story

Florida State women’s hoops set a new school-record for made 3-pointers in Thursday night’s 87-62 win at Milwaukee. The Seminoles knocked down 15 treys in the win to improve to 11-1.

The contest was tied at halftime and FSU actually trailed early in the second half. The Seminoles outscored the Panthers 52-27 in the second half.

Kiah Gillespie and Kourtney Weber were each responsible for four of the 15 makes from downtown while Nausia Woolfolk and Nicki Ekhomu each knocked down three 3-pointers. Weber was a perfect 4-for-4 from deep, finishing with 16 points. Ekhomu led all scorers with 26 points while Gillespie added 20 to go with a game-high nine rebounds.

Lizzie Odegard finished with 20 points to lead Milwaukee in a losing effort. FSU wraps up the non-conference at home against Georgia State on Dec. 29.

FSU women’s hoops played the only scheduled athletic event for Thursday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.

4-star guard Will Putnam picked Clemson over FSU on Thursday.

Friday is the final day of the Early Signing Period.

FSU junior pitcher Drew Parrish and third baseman Drew Mendoza were each named All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball on Thursday.
