Lead Story

Florida State women’s golfer Frida Kinhult was named ACC Co-Golfer of the Month for October on Friday.

Kinhult became just the fourth freshman to win a tournament as an individual recently when she took home first place at the Jim West Challenge in Texas. The Golfer of the Month honor was shared with Duke’s Virginia Elena Carta.

In five career events, Kinhult already has four top-10 finishes and is -29 for those tournaments. FSU isn’t scheduled to return to action until February.

Between the Lines

FSU men’s tennis began the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate in Sarasota on Friday. FSU swimming and diving fell to Florida. FSU volleyball topped Notre Dame in four sets. FSU soccer defeated Virginia in the ACC Tournament semifinals, 3-1.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s tennis continues the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate on Saturday. FSU football visits NC State at 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC. FSU swimming and diving hosts Florida Southern.

News and Notes

FSU is currently a 9-point underdog against NC State.

FSU soccer will face North Carolina for the ACC Championship on Sunday.

FSU was defeated by NC State on Saturday, 47-28.
