It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your day and week carry on, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

For Saturday’s game against Louisville, Florida State football will break out a brand new uniform combination.

According to the football program’s Twitter account, FSU will wear alternate helmets and garnet pants on white jerseys on Saturday. Since the uniform redesign in 2014, FSU has not worn the alternative helmet with anything other than the all black uniforms.

FSU has worn garnet pants just twice since the redesign — in the 2015 Peach Bowl against Houston and last season’s Independence Bowl against Southern Mississippi. The last time that Florida State wore white jerseys on garnet pants was the 2007 regular season finale at Florida.
