The Daily Nole — Sept. 24, 2018: FSU Opens as 5.5-Point Favorite Over Louisville

Lead Story

Fresh off a 37-19 win over Northern Illinois, Florida State opens as a road favorite for Saturday’s contest at Louisville.

According to Bovada, the Seminoles are favored by 5.5 points. Louisville lost at Virginia on Saturday, 27-3.

Both teams enter the contest with records of 2-2. Louisville scored more points than any team ever against FSU in a 63-20 win during the last meeting in the Bluegrass State. The Cardinals will look to join Clemson as the only ACC teams ever to defeat FSU in three straight seasons since it joined the ACC in 1992.

Between the Lines

Boston College defeated FSU soccer on Sunday, 2-1, while FSU volleyball recorded a straight set victory over Wake Forest. FSU women’s tennis wrapped up both the Oracle ITA Masters and Debbie Southern Fall Classic.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.

News and Notes

The ACC will announce players of the week for various sports on Monday.

The ACC will announce game times and networks for the football games slated for Oct. 6.
