The Daily Nole — May 23, 2018: FSU Women’s Hoops to Play in Junkanoo Jam

Lead Story

Florida State’s women’s basketball team will be spending its Thanksgiving holiday in the Bahamas.

The Seminoles are one of eight teams that will take part in the Junkanoo Jam in Bimini from Nov. 22-24. FSU is in the Bimini division and will open the tournament against Eastern Kentucky.

Joining FSU and the Colonels in the division will be Iowa and West Virginia. On the Junkanoo side of the bracket will be Clemson, Tennessee, UAB and Oklahoma.

Between the Lines

FSU baseball topped Virginia in 11 innings to open the ACC Tournament on Tuesday, 3-2.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

With Tuesday’s win, FSU baseball has won at least 40 games in 41 straight seasons.
