Florida State fans hope the approach is different, but the goal remains the same.

According to multiple reports, head coach Willie Taggart is in favor of a standalone football facility. The Moore Athletic Center currently houses the program as well as all others and a number of accompanying entities.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the university is currently looking at two options: renovating the Moore Athletic Center or constructing a football-only facility. Former head coach Jimbo Fisher was also a vocal proponent of a standalone facility.

Between the Lines

FSU men’s golf’s season ended on Wednesday as the Seminoles finished in sixth place in the NCAA Norman Regional.

On the Agenda

FSU women’s tennis takes on Tulsa in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament at 5 p.m. EST. FSU baseball opens a 3-game series against NC State at 6 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.

FSU baseball topped NC State on Thursday night in 11 innings on a walk-off home run by Steven Wells, 4-3.

FSU women’s tennis topped Tulsa in the Sweet 16 on Thursday, 4-3, to advance to the Elite Eight.
