Happy hump day, Florida State fans. As your day and week goes on, stay tuned here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

The standing position for Florida State’s men’s golf is the same after two rounds, but the time for the Seminoles to get into the top 5 and advance to the NCAA Championships is running out.

At the NCAA Norman Regional, the Seminoles sit in sixth place at +1 as a team. Florida State is four strokes back of Auburn and BYU, who are tied for fourth place at -3. Host Oklahoma leads overall at -9, followed by Pepperdine at -7 and North Florida at -5.

Individually, FSU freshman John Pak is pacing the Seminoles and tied for 10th overall at -2. Oklahoma’s Blaine Hale is the overall leader at -8. The Norman Regional wraps up on Wednesday.

News and Notes

FSU softball redshirt senior Kylee Hanson and sophomore Cassidy Davis were two of the 12 student-athletes selected from District 4 as Google Cloud Academic All-District first team members, as announced by CoSIDA.

FSU’s 2019 contest against Boise State will become officially announced during a news conference on Wednesday.

FSU men’s golf watched its season come to an end with a sixth-place finish in the Norman Regional.
