Florida State senior outfielder Steven Wells’ week to remember culminated not only in ACC honors, but national recognition as well.

After being named among Collegiate Baseball’s Players of the Week on Monday, Wells was named NCBWA Player of the Week on Tuesday. In five games last week, Wells hit .824 with two home runs, two doubles, 11 runs scored and seven RBIs.

Wells reached base 22 times during the week and raised his batting average by more than 100 points. Wells was 0-for-3 with a run scored in Tuesday’s 5-3 loss to Stetson.

Between the Lines

FSU baseball fell to Stetson on Tuesday, 5-3.

On the Agenda

FSU softball will play at Florida on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. EST on SEC Network+.

FSU track and field’s Corion Knight was named ACC Field Performer of the Week.

The NCAA women’s golf selection show is set for Wednesday.

FSU basketball’s Terance Mann was named a nominee for the NABC Give Back Team.
