Florida State women’s hoops guard Imani Wright was honored by the ACC after a monster week.

Wright was named the ACC Co-Player of the Week along with Louisville’s Asia Durr after averaging 28.5 points in wins over Jacksonville and North Carolina. Wright scored 24 points in an 82-50 win over the Dolphins before scoring a career-high 33 points in a 103-65 win over the Tar Heels. Wright hit a school-record eight 3s in the ACC-opening victory.

For the season, the redshirt senior is averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field and 41 percent from deep. Wright and the Seminoles will look to improve to 14-1 and 2-0 in ACC play on Thursday night at Clemson.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

FSU basketball will host North Carolina on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. EST. The contest airs on ESPN2.

News and Notes

Talks between Miami wide receivers coach Ron Dugan and FSU are ongoing, according to reports.

Michigan run game coordinator Greg Frey was in Tallahassee on Tuesday.

FSU tight end Ryan Izzo will forego his senior season and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

FSU basketball defeated No. 12 North Carolina on Wednesday night, 81-80.

Raymond Woodie and Donte’ Pimpleton will officially join Willie Taggart’s staff at Florida State.
