FSU athletics

Happy hump day, Florida State fans. Hopefully, everyone had a Happy Halloween. As your week continues, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. We’ll update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

Changes to the Florida State coaching staff are coming — at least one.

According to a report from 247Sports, quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Randy Sanders is not expected to return next season. Sanders came to FSU in 2013 following stints at Tennessee and Kentucky.

Sanders was quarterbacks coach in 2013 when Jameis Winston won the Heisman Trophy and was Deondre Francois’ position coach last season when he won ACC Rookie of the Year. A popular name being thrown around as his replacement is Dameyune Craig — an FSU quality control coach and the quarterbacks coach from 2010-12.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

FSU men’s tennis will begin the ITA National Fall Championship. FSU volleyball will visit Miami at 6 p.m. EST in a match that airs on ACC Network Extra.
