It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As your weekend winds down, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Following Saturday’s slate of games, Florida State finds itself in last place in the ACC’s Atlantic division.

The Seminoles are just 2-5 for the year and 2-4 in ACC play. The only team with a record as bad in the division is Louisville, who beat the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Oct. 21, 31-28.

FSU will resume conference play this week against Syracuse at home. The Seminoles have yet to win a home game this season.

Between the Lines

Arizona State defeated FSU swimming and diving on both the men’s and women’s side on Saturday.

On the Agenda

FSU softball faces Mississippi State in a scrimmage on Sunday. FSU soccer opens the ACC Tournament at second-seeded North Carolina. FSU volleyball will host N.C. State. Both the soccer and volleyball matches begin at 1 p.m. EST and air on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU safety Derwin James has been named a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.

North Carolina defeated FSU in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on Sunday, 2-1.
