Lead Story

Former FSU running back Dalvin Cook made his NFL debut on Monday Night Football, as the Minnesota Vikings downed the New Orleans Saints, 29-19.

Cook started slow in the first half, only accumulating 28 yards on the ground before halftime. He really started making an impact as the game progressed into the fourth quarter. In the second half, Cook ran for nearly 100 yards, and in the process broke Adrian Peterson’s record for rushing yards by a Vikings rookie in his debut. Cook finished with 22 carries for 127 yards and a 5.8 average. He also chipped in three receptions for 10 ryards.

The Vikings travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers for their next game. That will played on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EST.
