Florida State soccer’s leading goal scorer from last season wasted little time picking up where she left off in the season-opener on Friday.

In a 3-0 win over UNC-Greensboro, sophomore forward Deyna Castellanos scored each of FSU’s three goals, finding the net in the 13th, 19th and 81st minute. Emily Madril had two assists for Florida State.

For the night, FSU had 29 shots on goal compared to the Spartans’ four. FSU goalkeeper Cassie Miller did not have to make a save in the victory.

Between the Lines

FSU’s win over UNC-Greensboro on the soccer field was the only scheduled athletic event for Friday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Saturday.

FSU made the cut for 4-star guard Keiondre Jones, a 2019 prospect, who narrowed his list down to nine on Friday.
