Florida State soccer has been picked by the ACC’s 14 coaches to win the conference in 2017.

The Seminoles were the top pick and received eight of 14 first-place votes. North Carolina, who was picked second, and Virginia, who was picked fourth, each received two first-place votes. Third place Duke and fifth place Notre Dame each received one first-place vote.

FSU was also well-represented on the preseason All-ACC team with a conference-high four selections. Goalkeeper Cassie Miller, defender Natalia Kuikka, midfielder Megan Connolly and forward Deyna Castellanos were all selected.

Former FSU cornerback Marquez White recorded one tackle in his preseason NFL debut for the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.

FSU volleyball was picked to finish second in the ACC behind North Carolina. Milica Kubura was named to the preseason All-ACC team.

FSU wide receiver Da’Vante Phillips has been arrested on felony fraud charges and will be suspended indefinitely.
