After one day of the ACC Men’s Golf Championships in South Carolina, Florida State sits in second place and just one stroke off the lead.

Duke currently leads the championships at 277 or -11. The Seminoles are at 278 or -10 and behind them is Clemson at -9. Those are the only teams currently under par as fourth-place Georgia Tech is even after one round.

Clemson’s Bryson Nimmer is the individual leader through one round at -6. FSU’s Cristobal Del Solar and North Carolina’s Ben Griffin are tied for second at -5.

The ACC Championships conclude Saturday in Clinton, South Carolina with the final two rounds.

Aside from golf, FSU beach volleyball defeated both UNC-Wilmington and Tulane by 5-0 scores to open the CCSA Tournament on Friday. FSU track and field competed in the Cardinal Classic in Palo Alto. FSU women’s tennis fell 4-3 to Virginia while the men beat Virginia Tech, 4-2. FSU baseball opened a 3-game series with Miami with a 6-3 win.

On the Agenda

In addition to golf, FSU beach volleyball will face both South Carolina and Florida International in the CCSA Tournament on Saturday. FSU baseball continues its series at Miami at 7 p.m. EST on ACC Network Extra.

FSU beach volleyball closed out pool play with wins over South Carolina and Florida International before beating Florida Atlantic to advance to the CCSA Championship.

FSU finished in fourth place at the ACC Men’s Golf Championships behind winner Duke, Clemson and Wake Forest.

Sunday’s series finale with Miami begins at noon EST, instead of 1 p.m. because of weather.
