It’s Sunday, Florida State fans and it should again be a busy one. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

With a 66-57 win over rival Miami on Saturday and some help from around the conference, Florida State clinched the No. 2 seed in this year’s ACC Tournament. The tournament gets underway on Tuesday in Brooklyn.

The No. 2 seed in the conference tournament ties the highest ever for FSU since entering the ACC. FSU’s win at home on Saturday not only gave the Seminoles their first perfect home finish in 41 years, but it allowed them to set a new school-record for regular season wins and tie their previous ACC-best with 12 conference victories.

As the No. 2 seed, FSU also receives a double-bye, meaning it won’t have to play until Thursday in the quarterfinal. There, the Seminoles will face either Virginia Tech, Boston College or Wake Forest.
