After two days of watching other teams play, No. 2 seed Florida State will finally get a chance to get on the court at the ACC Tournament in South Carolina.
The quarterfinal match-up for the Seminoles will be rival and seventh-seeded Miami. The Hurricanes, led by Keyona Hayes and Adrienne Motley, defeated Georgia Tech on Thursday night, 87-71.
Led by Shakayla Thomas and Leticia Romero, FSU took both meetings from Miami during the regular season. The Seminoles won in Coral Gables by a score of 81-66 on Dec. 29 and then in Tallahassee on Feb. 6, 80-71. Friday’s contest tips off just after 6 p.m. EST and will air on Raycom Sports Network.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Thursday.
On the Agenda
In addition to the ACC Tournament, the FSU women’s tennis team will host Wake Forest on Friday. FSU begins a 3-game series with Oakland on the baseball diamond at 4 p.m. EST in a contest that will air on ACC Network Extra. FSU softball will begin ACC play against Georgia Tech.

FSU picked up a second defensive tackle for 2019 in as many days as FSU added Georgia prospect Tru Thompson on Friday.
The FSU women fell to Miami in the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament on Friday, 56-54.
FSU baseball rallied from seven runs down to defeat Oakland in the first game of a 3-game set, 18-10.
