Happy hump day, Florida State fans. It looks to be a relatively quiet Wednesday, but that’s always subject to change. The news and notes section will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State’s swimming and diving team took home its first gold medal of the ACC Championships on Tuesday.

Diver Ayla Bonniwell, a freshman, took home the gold in the 1-meter event, posting a career-best score of 320.85. Bonniwell however, wasn’t the only FSU diver to medal.

Molly Carlson, also a freshman, took home bronze in the event, posting a career-best score of 307.65. The FSU swimming and diving teams will continue the ACC Championship on Wednesday.

Between the Lines

The FSU swimming and diving teams were the only teams in action on Tuesday.

On the Agenda

In addition to swimming and diving, FSU softball will host Florida A&M on Wednesday.

News and Notes

Former FSU running back Dalvin Cook and tackle Roderick Johnson are each ranked in the top 5 at their positions by NFL.com’s Mike Mayock.

FSU shortstop Taylor Walls and infielder Dylan Busby have both been named to the preseason Golden Spikes Award watch list.

Freshman tight end Alexander Marshall said he will wear No. 87 at FSU.
