Lead Story

Four Florida State players heard their names called during the 2017 NFL Draft, but four others have found homes in other places.

Wide receiver Kermit Whitfield and fullback Freddie Stevenson have both been signed by the Chicago Bears, according to reports. Travis Rudolph, a wide receiver, has been signed by the New York Giants. Fellow receiver Jesus Wilson has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reports say, and will be catching the ball from former FSU quarterback Jameis Winston.

According to Noles247, guard Kareem Are will have tryouts with the Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans. Quarterback Sean Maguire has yet to sign with an NFL team.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s golf fell to Duke in match play at Northwestern on Saturday. FSU softball defeated North Carolina, 8-1. FSU baseball was shut out by Virginia, 8-0.

Florida State will be the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships which begin Friday in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Former Florida State cornerback commit Isaiah Bolden flipped to Oregon late Saturday night.

Virginia held off a late rally to top Florida State on Sunday, 7-5.
