After three years in Tallahassee, former Florida State tackle Roderick Johnson found a new home in Cleveland.

Johnson was selected by the Browns in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft on Saturday Johnson was taken 160th overall.

Once thought to be a first round selection, Johnson was a disappointment to some as a junior in 2016. That however, didn’t stop the 6-7, 310-plus pound tackle from being named first-team All-ACC and winning a second straight Jacobs Blocking Trophy, which annually goes to the ACC’s best offensive lineman.

A late addition insertion into the starting lineup as a freshman in 2014, Johnson started in 31 straight games for the Seminoles to conclude his career. Johnson is the second FSU offensive lineman selected by the Browns in three years. Cam Erving went to Cleveland in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
