Happy hump day, Florida State fans.

We’ve been out for a few days, but now we’re back. Check out our daily rundown.

Lead Story

The season came to a disappointing end for Florida State football on Saturday, but eight Seminoles were recognized for their efforts this season by the ACC.

Earning first-team All-ACC honors were defensive end Jermaine Johnson and safety Jammie Robinson. Johnson led the ACC with 11.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss. Robinson was FSU’s leader in total tackles (85), interceptions (4) and forced fumbles (2).

Running back Jashuan Corbin and defensive end Keir Thomas each earned third-team All-ACC honors. Corbin rushed for 887 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Thomas finished with 42 total tackles, 12 for loss and 6.5 sacks.

Four others were named honorable mention by the ACC. That included offensive linemen Dillan Gibbons and Devontay Love-Taylor and defensive linemen Robert Cooper and Fabien Lovett.

Between the Lines

On Tuesday, FSU hoops was blasted by Purdue in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, 93-65.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

News and Notes

FSU soccer’s Jaelin Howell and Emily Madril have been named MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalists. The award annually goes to the nation’s best player.

FSU football safety Jammie Robinson was named ACC Defensive Back of the Week.

Florida State football quarterback McKenzie Milton has won the Brian Piccolo Award.

FSU volleyball qualified for the NCAA Tournament and will face Kansas State in Lincoln, Neb. on Friday.

FSU volleyball’s Emma Clothier was named to the All-ACC first team. Morgan Chacon was selected to the second team. Making the All-Freshman team were Khori Louis, Emery Dupes and Audrey Koenig.

FSU soccer’s Jaelin Howell, Beata Olsson, Emily Madril and Yujie Zhao were all named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region first team.
