Lead Story

The preseason USTFCCCA Poll was released on Tuesday and Florida State women’s cross country came in at No. 18.

Among ACC schools, only No. 2 NC State and No. 13 North Carolina were ranked higher. In the South Region, FSU was ranked third behind Alabama and Ole Miss.

The FSU men were not ranked nationally, but were No. 2 in the South Region behind only Ole Miss. FSU’s women finished 15th at the NCAA Championships last season while the men failed to qualify.

The Seminoles will open the season in Boone, N.C. on Friday for the Covered Bridge Open.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.

News and Notes

FSU men’s golf has unveiled its 2021-22 schedule. The Seminoles will open in Illinois on Sept. 17.

With FSU volleyball set to play its home opener on Thursday, the attendance policy for Tully Gymnasium was announced on Wednesday.
