Seminole Sunday Summary: FSU Soccer Stays Perfect With Pair of 4-0 Victories

No. 1 Florida State soccer ran its regular-season winning streak to 13 matches this week with a pair of 4-0 victories.

After topping Alabama on Sunday, the Seminoles took care of South Alabama on Thursday. Over the two matches, FSU held a 44-3 edge in shot attempts.

Beata Olsson and Giana Mitchell scored goals in both matches this week. Against Alabama, Maria Alagoa added a goal.

Jenna Nighswonger and Yujie Zhao each scored their first goals of the season in Thursday’s win over the Jaguars. Ran Iwai tallied an assist for the Seminoles in both matches.

With the wins, FSU improved to 3-0 on the young season. The Seminoles will hit the road for the first time on Sunday against Colorado before coming home for a big rivalry showdown with Florida on Thursday.
