Lead Story

Doak Campbell Stadium won’t be full for Florida State football’s spring game, but fans will be able to watch it at home.

The April 10 intrasquad scrimmage will air at 5 p.m. ET on ACC Network. FSU did not have a spring game last year after fall practice was canceled with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This will be Mike Norvell’s first spring game as head coach at FSU. The Seminoles finished just 3-6 last season.

Between the Lines

FSU swimming and diving continued the NCAA Championships on Thursday.

On the Agenda

Florida State swimming and diving will continue the NCAA Championships on Friday. FSU track and field will compete in the USF Bulls Invitational and Tiger Track Classic on Friday. FSU volleyball takes on Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast as part of the FAU Beach Bash in Paradise. FSU women’s tennis will host Louisville while the men host UCF. FSU baseball visits Miami. That contest begins at 7 p.m. ET and airs on ACC Network.

News and Notes

FSU softball’s series with North Carolina was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Tar Heels’ program. It will now play games with Kennesaw State and Auburn on both Saturday and Sunday.

FSU cross country’s Adriaan Wildschutt was named the 2020 USTFCCCA Cross Country South Region Athlete of the Year.

Florida State quarterback Chubba Purdy will miss the rest of spring to rehab his shoulder.
