The Daily Nole — Feb. 23, 2021: FSU Hoops Moves Into Coaches Poll’s Top 10

Currently on a 3-game winning streak, Florida State men’s basketball made its first venture into the top 10 of either major poll this season.

The Seminoles climbed seven spots to No. 9 in the Amway Coaches Poll on Monday. FSU is coming off a week in which it destroyed then No. 7 Virginia and topped Pittsburgh. In the AP Poll, FSU sits just outside the top 10 at No. 11 — a 5-spot climb.

For the season, FSU is 13-3 and 9-2 in ACC play. The Seminoles will go for the season sweep against rival Miami on Wednesday night in Coral Gables.

FSU women’s golf is ranked No. 11 in the WGCA Coaches Poll.

Florida State women’s hoops’ interim head coach Brooke Wyckoff was named ESPNW’s Coach of the Week on Monday.

FSU volleyball has added a match with UCF to take place at noon ET on Friday at Tully Gymnasium.

FSU baseball stayed put at No. 24 in the D1Baseball Poll and No. 9 in the Baseball America Poll. The Seminoles moved up three spots to No. 25 in the Collegiate Baseball Poll.
