Lead Story

After a lengthy hiatus, Florida State men’s cross country returned to action on Friday. At the Winter XC Classic in Tallahassee, FSU finished seventh.

Coastal Carolina transfer Adriaan Wildschutt had a strong showing for FSU, finishing third in his FSU debut. Iowa State’s Wesley Kiptoo and Colorado’s Eduardo Herrera finished first and second, respectively.

Caleb Pottorff was the only other FSU runner to finish in the top 50. He placed 46th.

Stanford took the team title, followed by Iowa State and Colorado. FSU will return to action with the NCAA Championships on March 15 in Stillwater.

Between the Lines

FSU’s cross country meet was the lone scheduled athletic event for Friday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Saturday.

News and Notes

ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi currently lists FSU basketball as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
