Lead Story

Flowers will be the starting pitcher for FSU on Tuesday night when the Seminoles host Jacksonville. Flowers’ pitching ability was known when he arrived in Tallahassee, but he didn’t pitch in either of his first two seasons.

In eight appearances this season, Flowers has yet to allow a run in 8.2 innings and has yielded just four hits while striking out 10 batters. Flowers has a team-high five saves.

Tuesday’s contest at Dick Howser Stadium will begin at 6 p.m. EST and will air on ACC Network Extra. The first meeting between the schools in Jacksonville was rained out.
