Lead Story

There was some ambiguity about who would start at quarterback for Florida State last week against Notre Dame. Moving forward, head coach Willie Taggart said there will be none.

Barring injury, Taggart has confirmed that redshirt junior Deondre Francois will be the starter for the remainder of the regular season. Francois was put back under center last week after James Blackman passed for 421 yards and four touchdowns the week before in his absence.

For the season, Francois ranks second in the ACC with 2,255 passing yards. He has 13 touchdown passes and two touchdown runs to go with eight interceptions. Francois was 23-for-47 passing for 216 yards and an interception in Saturday’s 42-13 loss at Notre Dame.
