The Daily Nole — June 14, 2018: FSU Releases 2018 Volleyball Schedule

It’s Thursday, Florida State fans. As the weekend approaches, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State’s 2018 volleyball schedule was released on Tuesday and things will start with a bang for the Seminoles. FSU opens the 2018 season in Minneapolis against Minnesota in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Aug. 24 and faces Wisconsin the very next day.

The Seminoles will also play a tournament in Fort Collins, Colorado where they’ll face TCU, Colorado State and Cincinnati. Other notable non-conference games include a home date against Florida on Sept. 12 and a trip to Auburn on Sept. 16.

FSU opens ACC play on Sept. 21 against Duke in Tallahassee. FSU has multiple contests with NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh. Click here to view the complete schedule.

FSU soccer opens the 2018 slate on Aug. 18 against Vanderbilt.

FSU pitcher Drew Parrish and catcher Cal Raleigh were named third-team All-Americans by D1Baseball.com.

FSU athletics will induct nine new members into its Hall of Fame, including Buster Posey, Walter Dix, Al Thornton, Odell Haggins and Bob Perrone.
