Lead Story

Florida State draft hopefuls will have one final shot to impress scouts on Wednesday as the school hosts Pro Day.

Safety Derwin James and linebacker Matthew Thomas are among those coming off impressive NFL Combine performances while the opposite was true for guys like defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi and tackle Rick Leonard. Players who didn’t get an invite to Indianapolis such as safeties Trey Marshall and Nate Andrews as well as defensive end Jalen Wilkerson and safety/receiver Ermon Lane will also have the chance to impress.

The FSU Pro Day will be shown at 1 p.m. EST on ESPN3. The NFL Draft takes place in Dallas from April 26-28.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s hoops fell to Buffalo in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night, 86-65. Also on Monday, FSU men’s golf resumed the Valspar Collegiate Invitational while the women continued the Evans Derby Experience.

On the Agenda

The FSU men’s women’s golf team will wrap up their respective tournaments. FSU baseball will host UCF in a contest that begins at 6 p.m. EST and airs on ACC Network Extra.

News and Notes

FSU baseball defeated UCF at Dick Howser Stadium on Tuesday night, 6-4.

FSU head football coach Willie Taggart will open the first two spring practices on Wednesday and Friday to the public.
