It’s Sunday, Florida State fans. As you wrap up your weekend, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. We’ll update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

Florida State softball third baseman Jessie Warren continued her assault on the ACC record books on Saturday as the Seminoles notched a pair of victories over Alabama, 3-1 and Georgia State, 8-0.

Warren’s 2-run blast to end the nightcap against Georgia State ended the game and gave the FSU senior an ACC-record tying 228 career RBIs. That’s even with Whitney Haller of Georgia Tech, who played from 2006-09. Sydney Sherrill and Elizabeth Mason also homered for the Seminoles while Kylee Hanson picked up the win on the mound.

In the first game, FSU avenged a loss from the night prior by beating Alabama. Warren and Carsyn Gordon each homered in that win while Meghan King allowed just a run on five hits from the circle to pick up the victory.
