Lead Story

With the start of the 2018 baseball season two weeks ago, the Florida State bullpen will hardly be at full strength to start the year.

Seniors Will Zirzow and Ed Voyles will each reportedly miss the start of the season. Zirzow was 3-1 last season with a 2.58 ERA, which included a complete game 2-hitter in the decisive game of the Tallahassee Regional against Auburn. Voyles was 1-1 with a 6.10 ERA last season.

FSU head coach Mike Martin already confirmed that Chase Haney would miss the season with Tommy John Surgery. The Seminoles open the season against Xavier in two weeks.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s basketball was defeated by N.C. State on Thursday night, 65-56.

On the Agenda

FSU swimming and diving will take part in the Auburn Invite on Friday.

FSU’s Dallas Dorosy, Emma Koivisto and Kaycie Tillman were each named to the 2017 ACC Women’s Soccer All-Academic team.
