It’s Tuesday, Florida State fans. As your week chugs along, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

For the first time in three seasons, Florida State has a ranked men’s track and field team.

The Seminoles came in this week at No. 23 in the USTFCCCA Poll, following a strong performance in Iowa City. The women are currently unranked.

FSU won three straight men’s outdoor national championships from 2006-08, but vacated the middle of those three. The Seminoles will return to action on Friday in Fayetteville for the Razorback Invitational.

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Monday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.

News and Notes

FSU running back Cam Akers and Joshua Kaindoh were named among Athlon Sports’ 30 breakout players for 2018.

FSU begins the year ranked third in the Baseball America Poll.

FSU pitcher Tyler Holton was named a first-team All-American by D1Baseball.com. Infielder Drew Mendoza was a second-team selection.
