It’s the weekend, Florida State fans. As you get ready to enjoy bowl games or the day with your family and friends, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

When it comes to basketball, there’s one thing that Florida State can say that even most of the sport’s blue bloods cannot.

The Seminoles are one of only two programs in the country that are currently undefeated in both men’s and women’s hoops. The FSU men are 9-0 and one of only six unbeaten teams. At 10-0, the FSU women are one of only 12 undefeated teams. The only other school that currently fits this category is Villanova.

Both FSU teams are expected to be tested this weekend as each face Big 12 competition away from home. The men take on Oklahoma State on Saturday in Sunrise while the women face Texas on the road Sunday.

Between the Lines

There were no FSU athletic events scheduled for Friday.

On the Agenda

FSU hoops will take on Oklahoma State in the Orange Bowl Classic at 2 p.m. EST. The contest will air on Fox Sports Sun and various regional Fox Sports networks.

News and Notes

FSU suffered its first loss on the season on Saturday, falling to Oklahoma State in the Orange Bowl Classic, 71-70.

FSU defensive end Josh Sweat will enter the 2018 NFL Draft, according to a report.
