The Daily Nole — Nov. 8, 2017: FSU Routs Thomas University in Hoops Exhibition

Happy hump day, Florida State fans. We’re one day closer to the weekend. Keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics as we update the news and notes section of this post throughout the day.

Lead Story

In its hardwood debut for 2017-18, Florida State routed Thomas University in an exhibition at the Donald L. Tucker Center on Tuesday night, 112-52.

Six FSU players scored in double-figures, led by freshmen Ike Obiagu and RaiQuan Gray, who each finished with 12 points. Christ Koumadje, Phil Cofer, M.J. Walker and Brandon Allen all finished with 10 points. Johnnel Ginnie led Thomas with 12 points.

For the night, FSU shot 63 percent from the field and forced 31 turnovers. The Seminoles will open the regular season at home against George Washington on Nov. 14.

Between the Lines

The FSU hoops exhibition was the only scheduled athletic event for Tuesday.

On the Agenda

There are no FSU athletic events scheduled for Wednesday.
