The Daily Nole — Oct. 27, 2017: FSU Soccer Completes Regular Season with Draw at Clemson

Florida State soccer’s 2017 regular season came to an end on Thursday night with a 2-2 draw at Clemson.

The teams alternated goals on Thursday night with the exchanged goals coming less than eight minutes apart. After Kaycie Tillman found the net in the 51st minute to put the Seminoles ahead, Clemson’s Jenna Polonsky answered with a goal in the 58th minute. Deyan Castellanos scored in the 71st minute to make it 2-1, but Dani Antieau answered for the Tigers in the 73rd minute.

The draw is the first of the regular season for FSU as it finishes 11-5-1. The Seminoles will be the No. 7 seed in the ACC Tournament and will face North Carolina at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday.

Between the Lines

In addition to soccer, FSU basketball defeated Central Missouri in an exhibition, 116-68.

On the Agenda

FSU cross country will take part in the ACC Championships on Friday. FSU softball will hold its Garnet and Gold scrimmage before taking on Thomas University in an exhibition at 5 p.m. FSU volleyball will host North Carolina at 6 p.m. in a match that airs on ESPNU. FSU football will be at Boston College at 8 p.m. in a match that airs on ESPN.

FSU is a 4-point favorite for Friday’s contest with Boston College.

FSU women’s hoops begins 14th in USA Today Coaches Poll.

Boston College defeated Florida State on Friday night, 35-3.
