According to his Instagram post, which was later confirmed by head coach Jimbo Fisher, Florida State junior running back Jacques Patrick underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair a meniscus tear.

Fisher said during his call-in show on Tuesday night that Patrick’s injury isn’t as serious as once thought, but it is still expected to keep him out for significant time. The injury was first reported on Sunday.

After playing behind Dalvin Cook, Patrick was in the midst of a career-year. Patrick had rushed for 434 yards on a 5.7 yards per carry average this season with a touchdown. The Orlando native had also caught 13 passes for 88 yards.
