It’s Friday, Florida State fans, which means we’re just one day from watching the Seminoles host rival Miami. Until then, keep it here for the latest in FSU athletics. The news and notes section of this post will be updated throughout the day.

Lead Story

The top national prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, will make his college choice on Friday morning.

Quarterback Justin Fields, according to multiple reports, will choose between Georgia and Florida State among others. Fields, a prospect from Kennesaw, Georgia, is listed at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds.

Fields is scheduled to visit FSU on Saturday for its contest with Miami, but the decision to commit on Friday likely means that he won’t be taking his talents to Tallahassee. Georgia is the odds-on favorite.
