Not to be lost in the madness of the weekend and a 27-21 loss to North Carolina State, Florida State also lost a commitment it believed to be firm.

Ronald Thompkins, a 4-star athlete and 2019 prospect, decommitted over the weekend after committing in May.

Thompson, the No. 282 overall prospect for 2019 and the 26th best athlete, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, was one of four Grayson High School prospects committed to FSU’s 2019 class. The Seminoles still have seven total commitments, including three Grayson prospects.

FSU’s 2019 class continues to rank second nationally behind only rival Florida, according to the Composite.

Between the Lines

FSU women’s tennis opened the $25,000 ITF on Monday. The FSU women’s golf team finished fifth at the Schooner Fall Classic in Oklahoma.
