NFL Week 3: How Did Former FSU Players Fare?

A very poignant Week 3 of the NFL season was fairly quiet for Florida State football alumni. Compared to their dominance in Week 2, Florida State players weren’t as noticeable on Sunday. But more than a few impressed with their play, including three running backs who all followed each other in their college careers.

We here at The Daily Nole kept track of them through the whole day. Listed below are all former FSU football players who recorded a statistic on Thursday and Sunday:

Telvin Smith (LB, Jacksonville) – 7 tackles, 1 fumble recovery

DeMarcus Walker (DE, Denver) – 1 QB hit

Nick O’Leary (TE, Buffalo) – 1 reception, 31 receiving yards

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Chicago Bears

Vince Williams (LB, Pittsburgh) – 7 tackles, 1 TFL

Eddie Goldman (DT, Chicago) – 2 tackles

Christian Jones (LB, Chicago) – 1 tackle

Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions

Devonta Freeman (RB, Atlanta) – 21 carries, 106 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 3 receptions, 32 receiving yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Jameis Winston (QB, Tampa Bay) – 70 percent completions, 328 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 1 rush, 4 rushing yards

Dalvin Cook (RB, Minnesota) – 27 carries, 97 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 5 receptions, 72 receiving yards

Xavier Rhodes (CB, Minnesota) – 3 tackles, 1 pass defended

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

Terrence Brooks (S, New York) – 2 tackles, 3 passes defended, 2 interceptions
